It's nice how every time I go to the batting...
report on the new bat: it’s noticeably heavier than my old one, and I was having some trouble early on getting it down on the ball, and getting it out in front. But I was much better by then end. Also, every muscle in my body is sore and tired, when I’m at 100%, and acclimated to the bat, I’m probably going to hit much better. And I was hitting pretty well tonight, so...

among the errands I was just out running was buying a new bat. and it’s a 34’ louisville slugger, and it’s beautiful, and I love it. (for comparison, that’s the same size bat as Derek jeter uses.) It’s too big for me to use in a game (at least right now), but its size makes it perfect for batting practice. I really like this bat.

We watched "Schindler's List" in class, today.
For me, the most moving part was at the end, when they’re all gathered, and Schindler calls for three minutes of silence. And the Rabbi says Kaddish. I didn’t cry, but I got motherfugging goosebumps. … The soundtrack was excellent, but I didn’t like “Yerushalayim Shel Zahav” at the end, I think “Eli, Eli” would have been a better choice.
