Too much excitement for one day
I’m trying to figure out the over/under on my being asleep by 3.
Speaking of 3, that’s how many school days I have until spring break

pflugerville replied to your post: After the past 48 hours, I have to wonder
Does it ever really settle?
to paraphrase someone or other, I forget whom, whether or not there’s a happy ending depends on when you decide to write “The End.” I would argue, whether or not there even is an ending depends on that same thing.
paul baribeau isn't going to be at the juicer
which is disappointing, but the new venue is closer to my house, and well within biking distance (even though I probably won’t bike), so I can’t really complain.
After the past 48 hours, I have to wonder
what’s life going to be like when the dust settles?

Here's the thing about life:
It goes on.

For me, waiting for my email from NYU was kind of like schrödinger’s cat: so long as I didn’t get my email, I was both accepted and rejected.
Turns out I was neither.
DJ just called me with a pep talk
fuck it. I have the best friends, and best teammates, in the world.
I feel confuzzled
A sequence of events:
I get out of physics, find out that Benji got into NYU Steinhardt, and that they’re releasing the decisions early.
Immediately head over the library to check my email. nothing.
DJ gets into Stern.
As a joke, he forwards me his admissions letter, so for a second I’m confused/a bit excited.
by the end of 11th period, still nothing. I’m beginning to freak...
waitlisted
full story/narrative to follow.
nyu is releasing decisions early
two of my friends from school got in
I still haven’t heard back.
the radio silence is killing me.

that was an awful practice
people just yelling and shit. not good. people need to know where they’re at, and not just stand around. if you’re the cut-off, be the cut-off. if you’re taking the throw, direct the cut-off. know what you’re supposed to do on every play. is it that hard?

the different sections of my personal library:
General fiction General non-fiction (most of my non-fiction is categorized though) Baseball instruction (only 3 books: 2 pitching, 1 hitting) Awesome and serious fiction Books of biblical importance [my library copy of “the art of fielding,” great gatsby, tfios, fight club, 36 arguments, and high fidelity] Poetry Religion/philosophy Writing philosophy of mind/language Baseball...
books, books, books
so some friends of my family just moved and gave us one of their bookcases, and my mom put it in my room, so I decided to put my top books in it.
reorganizing my library reminded me how much I like books.
Also, I need to get my hands on a copy of “The Art of Fielding” that I can own.
It’s the kind of book that will go up with Fight Club, The Fault in our Stars, 36 Arguments...

plans
so sunday I’ll be going to see paul baribeau (and some other awesome bands) at the juicer. I am excited. My mom is reluctant, since it’s the weekend before pesach, but whatever, I’ll make it up. I really can’t wait. It’s going to be so awesome. I’ll either be celebrating getting into NYU, or consoling myself over not getting in. win-win. Also, tickets are $7....

I didn’t play, coach had me warming up in the bullpen on four separate occasions, I might get the start against Hope.
I’m so ready for my US test tomorrow though. WWII and holocaust, I think I can handle that.
Life is OK.
